Chevy Nova GalleryDan Boyd's 63 AcadianI purchased this car: a Pontiac Acadian Sport Deluxe. It is the Pontiac version of the Nova SS. Because it was only made for the Canadian market it is very rare, there were only a few hundred made and I'm not sure of how many of those were Sport Deluxe models. I originally bought the car for $250 from the original owner in the late 70's. At that time, I painted it Silver because every Chevy 2 I saw seemed to be Red. I drove it to work in the summer months for a few years until "collector status" plates were available. The new plates would only allow pleasure driving after that. The first body work was done before you could get quarters etc (except from a wreck). But the welds still lasted until 2005 or so when a few bubbles showed up in the doors. After that I didn't drive it except on sunny days so the most water it saw was from washing! In Dec of 2009 I decided that sinceI had retired I would tackle a "Small restro" which turned out to be a "Major Restro" As it happens, when I took one thing off it only led to another bolt that could be removed.
