In '65 I bought a '62 2 dr. sedan and put a modified 301 (283 bored) & 4 speed in it.Later that year I found a wrecked ' 66 L-79 and put everything that was in the L-79 into the '62 --there is a photo taken in '66 of the original "Terrible II " .Then on 4/4/68 I ordered a new 68-L78 with a 4 speed 396/375 and 410/posi rear axle from the factory. After I sold the L-78 in 1971 I waited a couple of years and bought another used '66 L-79 in '73 and kept it for about a year. That ended my Chevy II 's for about 34 years . Then late last year I purchased a '63 Sedan then sold that car in June of this year & bought this latest ' 63 sedan. which is my current project .I have attached photos of it and the 383/425 HP engine I am preparing for it .

The first Nova a 1962 6 cyl. was a 3 speed and I put in a 4 speed and a 283 bored to 301 it was pretty fast in its day and later in the year I was able to purchase a wrecked L -79 and transferred all the running gear from it to the `62 after that in the center photo I ordered this `68 L78 from the factory with all the goodies 4 speed and 396/375 HP. I kept this car until after I was married and sold it in 1971 . A couple of years later I bought a used 66 L79 and drove it for about a year then sold it . That stopped my nova craze for about 34 years when I began to want another one . So in 2007 I bought a really nice `63 with 350 engine and Heidt`s front end and power glide transmission (that`s the car with torque thrust wheels ) . But I was not satisfied with the auto trans and decided to sell this car and try to buy another one which I had heard about thru a friend in MI. It was also a `63 sedan which is exactly what I was looking for this car already had a beautiful body and paint .but had only a modified 283 CI. engine so I went after it and after about 5 months of trying the owner decided to sell it . I then ordered a new ZZ383 engine and started the transformation and made a few refinements along the way .I did all of the work myself at age 64 and just finished it as per the photos . Some of the little safety improvements I designed myself and installed.
