Ted Jackson
Fern Creek, Kentucky
Short Story:
Ted Jackson bought this car, manufactured in May of 1965, from Bob Hook Chevrolet in1972 and is the second owner of this unique Nova. It is, to Ted's knowledge, the only '65 Nova he has seen that was special ordered from the factory with green tinted windows. The car is a all-numbers-matching car. Ted even has the original protecto plate in his possession!
Ted's son was killed in a work related accident over twenty years ago at the young age of twenty. His son had been driving this Nova for several years by this point so the car carried special significance to the Jackson family and the sons' friends. GM Classics & Chevy 2 Only owner, Junior, was acquaintances with the son and knew him because of their common interest in Novas. Ted lent the Nova to one of his son's friends for a few years after the accident.
About six years ago Ted began restoration work on the Nova and four years later it was finished. Ted describes the restoration as extensive and not without many invoices. Ted, in his seventies, is proud of this car and is happy to show it off and tell its story.
